Toria Hare
Toria (in-country coordinator Guyana) grew up in rural Somerset in the UK and has been pursuing a passion for wilderness, wildlife and adventure from a young age. Toria studied animal behaviour with ecology and conservation and has since worked for charitable organisations in both research and surveying as well as operations, fundraising and events. Since 2005 Toria has specialised in volunteer management and has most recently been working for the Wildlife Trusts, UK. Work and travel have taken her all over the world treking, exploring and studying the wildlife, with a particular love of tropical environments.
Toria is very happy to be back in South America, in particular an extraordinary country like Guyana. An animal nut and a keen horse rider, the ranches of the savannah make the perfect playground! Toria feels very strongly about enabling others to have adventurous experiences, while also helping the wonderful people of Guyana's rural communities.
