    • Trip Experience

Initial training and acclimatisation will take place near the old city of Petra, where we’ll ride Arab horses (no riding experience necessary at all) and see Old Petra from a way no tourist can these days. From Petra we ride south and into the vast and beautiful desert region of southern Jordan, each day camping under the stars! The ride will be hard work, but we’ll move during the cooler parts of the day, maybe at night if we have a full moon and the scenery we’ll pass though will be truly biblical! From the mountains of Petra we cross the flat plains to the rolling sand dunes and huge sandstone jebels of Wadi Rum, each day bringing a new, amazing adventure. We’ll refresh at the old Nabatean wells created thousands of years ago for the ancient trade routes (and from the support vehicles of course) and take the chance for some fun en route, abseiling from the jebels, maybe a day by camel or ATV and of course the odd canter through the stunning scenery of Wadi Rum.

"The survival course is one of those personal challenges you simply have to do - an opportunity to extend yourself both mentally and physically. It's deeply satisfying to look back and think 'I did that - I survived!'"
